Over the years my father Cedric Curson collected various sorts of bells.
Among them is a set of eight handbells. These more or less make an octave but two are just a bit “off”.
As I have my own two octave set, I should like to donate my father’s bells to any group of NDA ringers who would like to have them.

Betty Baines an association member from 8, tenor 22 cwt in D
Monday 19:30 Diss, Southern Branch officer and a Vice President of the Association has been awarded an MBE in the New Years Honours list for services to campanology.

It is with deep sadness that the Association reports that Roger Peckham passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of the 19 October 2013. This is a great loss and the Association’s deepest condolences are extended to Wendy and his family.
The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Church, on Friday, 01 November 2013 at 12h00, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please but donations if desired to be shared between Cancer Research, Macmillan Cancer Support and Ashill Church may be given at the service or sent c/o and payable to W C Littleproud & Son (Donation Account) Family Funeral Directors, Hale Road, Bradenham, IP25 7RA.

The Association is sorry to announce the sad news that Jocelyn Gardiner, of Catfield, died on the 21 July 2008, whilst in hospital. Jocelyn was a Vice-President of the Association and had formerly served as our President, for 13 years, from 1982 to 1995. He was a stalwart supporter of the Association and will be greatly missed.
