Young Ringers Update

An update on the recent World National Youth Contest (RWNYC) and planned young ringer summer holiday events…

RWNYC Update

On Saturday 5th July a group of young NDAR ringers were in Birmingham for the Ringing World National Youth Contest (RWNYC). We had two teams taking part in both the method ringing and the call changes, both our teams were awarded 3rd place in their sections.

This is the fourth year Norfolk have entered a team and, as always, was a fantastic day out for all. We rang at towers around Birmingham including Solihull which are a beautiful ring of 12 and St Martin’s in the Bullring a ring of 16. Ringing handbells, Plain Hunt on 12 was another highlight.

For those under 19 who are ringing in our Diocese do get in touch and join the team next year. Next year’s contest will be in Nottingham on 4th July 2026.
