Gressenhall
Assumption of The BVM
The central tower built on Norman foundations houses an easy going, tuneful ring of ten. In 1879 the old five were rehung in a new “A” frame for six when the upper part of the tower was rebuilt. Three bells were re-cast by Warner's in that year. A treble was added in 1909 and two more in 1955 completing the octave. In 1993 a major restoration scheme was proposed. Subsequently the tenor was re-cast and two trebles added making this a popular ten bell venue. (Roger Peckham)
