Adapt to Survive

This is a report from the March 2017 Association of Ringing Teachers (ART) conference by Catherine Sturgess.

600 new ringers were registered on the ART Learning the Ropes scheme during 2016, which probably doesn’t reflect the full numbers that ART teachers have taught. An average of one ringer a day during the year achieved a level one certificate (“safe and competent bell handing including raising and lowering a bell”).

CRAG 2017 Survey

The Council Review Action Group (or CRAG for short) of the CCCBR has launched a new survey which they would very much like all ringers to complete.

Mancroft Quiz Night

In aid the the Mancroft Appeal300, Mancroft ringers are holding a quiz night in The Chantry Hall, Chantry Road. There will be a fish and chip supper or vegetarian alternative (BYOD).

Teams pf up to a maximum of 8 people £8 per person.

NDAR Open Day 2016 Profits

Betty Baines reports that we made a profit of £920 on the Open Day. This will be divided equally between the Bell Restoration Fund and the Paul Cattermole Fund. She also wishes to pass on her thanks to everyone who helped on the day and to the church wardens and incumbents who allowed us to use their bells.
