- Bill GatesOn 4 January, Steve Rabong wrote: Josie Gates has asked me to inform the branch of the death of Bill Gates on the night of Wednesday 2 January after a long illness. Bill was a member of the NDA for many years until failing health stopped him from ringing. He was a loyal and much valued member of the band at Norton Subcourse when Norman Cossey was tower captain there. He also helped the band at Bergh-Apton. Bill was 84. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. RIP.
